You might say, "I can`t just BE happy." Actually, you can! Happiness is all in your mind. You can choose to be unhappy that your house has a leaky roof - or you can be happy that you HAVE a house, which millions of people dream of owning. You can choose to be unhappy that you can`t afford a trip to the Bahamas with your sweetheart, or you can be happy that you HAVE someone you love, that you are dreaming of travelling with. You can gripe about your flabby stomach, or instead you can give thanks that you are generally healthy. Change your outlook on life - one day at a time. I bet in two weeks you`ll find you are MUCH happier!

Make a resolution to take better care of yourself. Eat well, sleep well, find time to do things you enjoy. If you`re a happier person, those around you will be happier as well. And then your time with them will be happier, and it creates a ripple effect. Don`t yell - talk. If you find yourself getting annoyed or upset, take a time out. Is whatever is the issue *really* worth being unhappy over? Is there a compromise which will do just as well?
